February 2014 Truck Sales Sluggish, But May Be Good News For Upfitters

February 2014 sales still sluggish despite great excitement over new models. Many auto experts agree that the severe weather may be to blame, as customers don't purchase vehicles in heavy snow and rain conditions. Despite low sales from Ford and Chevrolet, Dodge Ram pickups are still surging in positive territory. The company repored its best February sales since 2007.

With unsold inventory, many expect to see some excellent incentives in the spring to move product out from dealer lots. For truck accessory and truck upfitters, the extra inventory may be a good opportunity to work with dealerships to add accessories that will help make trucks fly off the lot this spring.
