Cequent’s Rolling Billboard At Woodward Dream Cruise

While some may question why a manufacturer of towing products would advertise during one of the most popular muscle car events in the country, Cequent Performance Products realized that the combination is a great fit. So the company, one of the largest manufacturers of towing and trailer products, made its Woodward Dream Cruise debut during this year’s 20th annual event. “Having our headquarters located in nearby Plymouth, coupled with Cequent’s exclusive focus on automobile accessories, made taking part in the Dream Cruise a natural fit,” said Russell Brezezinski, Product Manager.

Cequent decided to market their products using a 22-foot by 10-foot mobile advertisement featured Draw-Tite® and Reese® – two of Cequent’s most popular brands. The moving billboard traveled in a loop from Ferndale to Pontiac, covering more than one hundred miles during the two-day cruise. Considering that many of the muscle cars at the Woodward Dream Cruise were trailered to the event, the idea for showcasing high performance towing products makes great sense. The Woodward Dream Cruise is a classic car event held in Metro-Detroit along Woodward Avenue. The event spans throughout numerous area towns and brings in an estimated one million attendees.
