AMP-Research Powerstep For Jeep JK Wranglers
AMP Research offers it's PowerStep™ power-retracting running boards for Jeep JK owners who find it challenging to enter and exit their vehicles. The AMP PowerStep™ allows the use of a full-length running board that extends when the door is open to provide a sturdy, LED lighted step that can handle up to 600 pounds. When the doors close, the step retracts and tucks up to the factory rocker panel so that there is no loss of ground clearance.
The AMP PowerStep™ running board is a high-strength aluminum extrusion that features bull-nose, rock-rail styling. Coupled with a black- anodized and Teflon® coated aluminum linkage assembly that bolts behind the factory rocker panel, the PowerStep™ is engineered to provide trouble-free operation, even under the most extreme dust and weather conditions.
“The Jeep owners we spoke to use their vehicles for daily commuting and weekend trail rides. So the PowerStep™ solves their difficulty entering and exiting the vehicle, without limiting any off-road capability,” says Mark Wronski Director of Marketing at AMP Research. “While the PowerStep™ is not intended to be used as rocker protection, it does provide the additional benefit of easier access to soft-tops and roof-mounted cargo.”
The AMP Research PowerStep™ is manufactured in the U.S.A. and is available for 2007- 2013 model Jeep Wrangler JK short-wheelbase two-door models (PN 75121-01A), and long-wheelbase four-door models (PN 75122-01A). Both come with a five-year/60,000 mile warranty. For more information, visit www.amp-research.com.
