Three Easy Steps To Getting Shoppers With Mobile Devices To Find Your Business

By Dan Sanchez

One of the most important aspects of marketing your restyling business or truck accessory retail store is to make sure customers with mobile devices can find you. Customers use their cell phones and tablets to search the internet for directions, images and phone numbers, to get the information they need before they head out the door. So getting your business listed properly, will allow these customers to find you, when they are looking for truck accessories, or someone to install them on their vehicles.

One of the first things you'll need to do is make sure your business is listed with the large online business listings. Most are free, and include Google Places, Foursquare, Facebook Places, Yellowpages.com, Yahoo Local Listings, BingPlaces.com, and Yelp. These are only a few, but they're a good place to start.

Next, ask your friends and best customers to go online and write a nice, but honest, review of your business on one or more of the sites you're listed on. After you make a sale or install a product onto a customer's vehicle, encourage them to please visit one of the business sites you're listed on and write a quick review.  More reviews will help move your business listing to the top of the search page.

Finally, you can supercharge your listing by paying for additional services on your existing listings. Most free listings only add your businesses address and phone number. Additional paid services allow you to upload images, video and more. Posting images of cool customer's trucks you've just outfitted can draw more attention, because it shows examples of your work and the products you carry. In addition, your customers will also refer you more often to other truck owners, if they know you're using a photo of their vehicle for your business.

It only takes a few minutes to get your business listed on a variety of online sites, but the ability to allow mobile customers to find you will last the life of your business and continue to bring in more customers.
