Connecting With The Truck Accessories Group At The 2013 SEMA Show
Kevin Page, VP of Sales And Marketing At TAG, explains the best ways to do business with them at the 2013 SEMA Show.By Dan Sanchez
With Leer, Century, Raider and Pace Edwards tonneaus and caps all under one company, the SEMA Show is a huge undertaking for the Truck Accessories Group. According to Kevin Page, TAG’s VP of sales and marketing, the company has a large display that showcases a variety of trucks with their products. From stock to highly modified, TAG’s vehicles get lots of attention, and most of them are built in partnership with truck accessory retailers and restylers, who also gain additional exposure for their businesses.
“Although the trucks are cool, it’s also important for any new or existing dealer and restyler to experience the quality of our products and see how they look and fit on trucks they build for their customers,” said Page. With four companies under one roof, new and existing dealers have the advantage of quick delivery and access to a wider range of products. TAG’s large manufacturing and distribution network helps to customize a plan for each individual dealer, so in order to get that point across, Page prefers meeting face to face at the show. “We suggest our dealers attend the show, and contact us ahead of time through e-mail communication,” said Page. “Direct contact is a great way to meet our staff and for us to get to know new dealers personally. The SEMA Show is the place to experience everything exciting, innovative and profitable in the aftermarket world, and that’s why it makes good business sense for dealers to go.” In addition to large displays at the show, the company advertises in many trade publications to get the word out on new products, and provides press releases, article content and images. At this year’s show, TAG is unveiling some new products, so attendees will get a first peek. TAG will be at booth #30159 at the 2013 SEMA Show.
