Add Daytime Running Lights To The Jeep JK Wrangler

How To Install A Rostra LED Jeep JK Daytime Running Light Kit

By TTM Staff

Rostra recently introduced a Daytime Running Light kit for the 2007 thru 2014 Jeep Wrangler. The system consists of five LED lights that mount to the Jeep's plastic fenders and come with a wiring harness. When installed, these LED lights provide extra visibility during the day and automically dim when the vehicle's headlights are powered on. The kit comes wtih all the necessary hardware for mouting the kit on any Jeep Wrangler with factory fenders. The LED's have a 4800K color temperature and feature weatherproof connectors. For more information, visit www.rostra.com.

Installation:

Cut out the provided template that's provided in the installation kit.

Line up the template with the bottom edge of the Jeep's fender and trace the cutting area with a marker.

Use a Dremel or oscillating saw to cut the traced area from the Jeep's plastic fender. Repeat the process on the other side.

The LED light housing fits into the provided bezel.

Insert the provided hardware into the light housing to secure it to the bezel.

The LED light housing and bezel are then inserted into the area cut out from the fender.

Follwing the instructions, the hardware is bolted up to the fender and secures the assembly in place.

The kit comes with the wiring harness and instructions on how to connect it to the Jeep's fuse panel.

The connections make a clean installation into the fuse panel and include weatherproof conectors.

The final step is to connect the wiring harness from the fuse panel to the LED lights. And the installation is complete.
